Creating
Projects

Projects are the primary organizational unit in Borebase. Each project represents a site investigation containing all related boreholes, tests, and data.

Why Projects Matter

A project typically represents a single construction site, geological survey area, or client engagement.

Creating a New Project

From the main dashboard, click the + Create Project button.

Required fields: Project Name and Project Location

Optional fields: Client Name, Project Number, Description, Start Date

Fill in the project details in the form that appears.

Setting Project Location

For precise location, enter WGS84 coordinates (latitude, longitude).

Type a location name or address and select from suggestions.

Click Pick on Map to place a pin at the desired location.

GEOTECHNICAL NOTE

WGS84 (EPSG:4326) is the global standard coordinate reference system used by GPS devices and most mapping services.

Borebase uses WGS84 globally, but you can configure a local CRS for display and export.
